We acknowledge the rights of every person who shares information with Little Survivors International to privacy and therefore we make clear any and all use of personal information. We only collect personal information that is required to further the objects of Little Survivors International and that is required according to our Rules of Association. All members are able to refer to our Rules of Association for more detailed information on our obligations to the Associations Incorporation Act 1987 and the use of personal information.
What information is collected?
Potential volunteers and job applicants - We collect personal information that is necessary to assess the suitability of an individual to undertake work, either paid on unpaid, on behalf of Little Survivors International. This may include, but not be limited to, the individuals full name, address, work experiences, qualifications, travel experiences and the results of security clearances.
Members and Member Applicants - Personal information we collect from members and member applicants include the full name, residential or postal address and other relevant contact details, for example, an email address for correspondence. To comply with the Associations Incorporation Act 1987, Little Survivors International is required to keep and maintain a register of the members of Little Survivors International. This information will be kept private, and only disclosed if this is necessary and the individual agrees or if required by law. Further information can be found in the Rules of Association.
Donors - Only information that is necessary to process the donation is collected, for example, the full name, contact details and financial information. Any information collected from donors is used only for the purpose intended by the donor. Donors have the option of either receiving or not receiving corresspondence, using the contact details provided, after they have made the donation.
Others - Any other individual that is in contact with Little Survivors International and provides personal information will only have their personal information kept by Little Survivors International if necessary, for example, if the individual would like to receive further corresspondence from Little Survivors International, or if they would like to become members or for some other reason that requires personal information to be kept.
Management of personal information
All individuals who work for Little Survivors International, whether paid or unpaid, must respect the confidentiality of personal information provided and will make all effort to ensure that personal information is secure and kept within the organisation, unless disclosure is required by law.
